Acne is a disease which skin oil glands make. It may leave skin scars, but it isn’t dangerous. Our skin has a lot of pores (tiny holes) which are connected to oil glands located under it. Also, the glands are connected to the pores via follicles, small canals. These glands produce an oily liquid, sebum, which carries dead skin cells through the follicles to the surface of the skin.
